Quality standards & certification

My ECA-Certificate

The quality of my work as a coach is very important to me. This is especially true in the light of the fact that the term "coach" is unfortunately not protected as a professional title and thus, in principle, anyone can simply call themselves a coach.

I have enjoyed a very high quality training at the Coaching Akademie Berlin and I am certified as a systemic personal and business coach according to the high quality standards of the European Coaching Association (ECA). The European Coaching Association is a Europe-wide network of professional coaches, teaching coaches and teaching institutes.

I have a very broad repertoire of coaching methods for the most diverse concerns and topics. I constantly add to my toolbox of methods through regular further training. Further training and development are a matter of course for me as a coach.

How I work as a coach

  • In my coachings sessions we will mostly talk, but also use flip charts, facilitation cards, digital whiteboards, and other tools. My questions help you to take new perspectives and discover possibilities you haven't thought of before. You will come up with ideas yourself that may have been dormant inside you for a long time.

  • In every single coaching session we will focus on what moves you forward in this moment, so that you can take home a result at the end of each session.

  • My coaching approach is "I help you to help yourself" by applying well-proven coaching methods. This means usually I won’t give advice. This attitude is essential in the classical coaching mindset where it is a fundamental belief that the clients themselves are the best experts for their own and very individual solutions. As a coach, I cannot know which solution will work best for you. Besides, self-developed solutions have a much more lasting effect because they are custom-made.

  • When coaching new managers and only where helpful and appropriate, I will also offer advice exceptionally and act as a mentor. I will always make it transparent whenever I change hats and leave the classic coaching role.
